Mike has over 29 years of leadership and management in the energy and construction field. He has extensive experience in energy projects and project management in several market segments including governments, education and commercial facilities. Mike also offers an in-depth knowledge of financing and associated energy applications. He has gained a solid reputation for his ability to quickly assess the feasibility of potential projects.

Mike previously served with Energy Systems Group, a division of Vectren Corporation (NASDQ:VVC), where he opened the Atlanta Regional office and was responsible for more than $65 million in sales, the majority of which was in the renewable energy sector.

Mike also worked 23 years for the Southern Company. He was a founding executive of its energy services company, Southern Company Energy Solutions. Ellis led SCES to annual sales of over $100 million before leaving to join ESG. He has managed and developed renewable energy projects in High-BTU landfill gas, biomass, solar and gasification.

His extensive experience in sales, management and operations, along with a solid track record of growing energy services companies, will help him guide the future direction of Global Energy Systems.
